Arriving officers found 19-year-old Rashad Coleman, in the middle of the street, alert and conscious, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, along the 2000 block of West 4th Street around 9 p.m, according to the City of Chester Police Department.
Coleman was sent to Crozer Chester Medical Center where he is listed in serious condition, police said.
Officers then noticed a nearby car that was struck by gunfire, and found 33-year-old William Byrd Jr. with gunshot wounds, police said.
Byrd was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from Crozer Chester Medical Center, police said.
There was no word on any suspects.
